therecoveryroom.co.nz is published by four writers based between Auckland and Dunedin who have spent the past decade covering offshore gambling operators that accept New Zealand accounts. The site carries no corporate parent and no operator ownership. Editorial responsibility for every ranking sits with Ines Waikaia, who signs the scoring notes and settles any disagreement inside the panel.
How a brand earns its place
Nothing reaches the ranking until somebody on the panel has opened an account, funded it in New Zealand dollars and taken a withdrawal back out. We record the licence number, the cashier options actually shown to a Kiwi account, the published average RTP, the size of the lobby and the wagering multiplier attached to the welcome offer. Those seven readings drive the score. A brand that refuses a withdrawal, quotes a multiplier it will not honour or hides its licence is removed rather than downgraded.
How we are funded
Some links on this site are commercial. An operator can pay to be listed; no operator can pay to be ranked higher, to have a drawback removed or to have a rival dropped.
